Dani Aragon

My name is Dani Aragon and I was born in 1966 in the city of Rosario (Province of Santa Fe, Argentina). In 1985, I began to delve into the art of silence, studying mime with Claudio Soro, who was a guide and teacher to a group of motivated young people that I was part of. Very soon, the group began to perform street acts in the squares and streets of the city. The following year, the group continued to improve under the mentorship of Alberto Demestri, and I also took a year at the national theatre school and two years of body expression, acrobatics, classical and contemporary dance.

In 1987, I formed a duo with the mime Raul Bruschini (rest in peace). Together we performed in theaters, plazas, and streets, as well as in street theater festivals, until in 1990 I moved to Israel, where I currently reside.

The same year, a few months after arriving in the country, I won the first prize at the mime festival held in Tel Aviv in honor of the famous actor and mime Shaike Ofir (may he rest in peace). That event opened some doors for me, and I began performing in schools across the country with mime shows as well as musical performances in collaboration with renowned classical musicians; some of those creations I continue to perform even today.

In 1993 and 1996, I participated in "The Barber of Seville" by Rossini in a production by the Israeli Opera under the direction of the famous Italian director Dario Fo. I also performed in family shows alongside orchestras such as the Tel Aviv Philharmonic (2003), the Rishon Lezion Symphony (2001), the Haifa Symphony (2002), and the Tel Aviv Chamber Orchestra (2004).

At the end of the 90s, I began performing with the pianist and composer Michael Libman, and since then we have continued to perform together in shows for children of all ages and also for adults in schools, theaters, hotels, events, and more.

A special mention to Michael Libman, who has been accompanying me for over 25 years as we travel the country together, making both kids and adults laugh
